The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine develops and implements state policy in education and science. The Ministry oversees educational institutions and all organizations and institutions that provide educational services. It decides whether they meet the required standards. On March 25, 2019, the Institute for Modernization of Education Content under the Ministry officially approved the GIOS platform and all educational materials at gioschool.com for use in educational institutions.
On January 30, during a conference for mathematics teachers organized by GIOS, Hanna Novosad and Nataliya Limonova signed a memorandum of cooperation. We now have official support from the Ministry.
“Through blended learning, we can give better chances of success to children who do not live in large cities and do not have access to greater opportunities,” said Hanna Novosad, former Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine.
DTI is a highly effective platform for sharing experience and interacting with developers, industry experts, business and technology partners, scientists, research organizations, and startups. The Institute works with cloud services, artificial intelligence, Big Data, cybersecurity, and the Internet of Things.

“We fully support the GIOS project because it focuses on the digital transformation of the education system and improving teaching methods for primary and secondary schools. This, in turn, will have a positive impact on the level of education in Ukraine!” the Institute said.
The STEM Education Coalition is a platform that unites companies, educational institutions, associations, expert organizations, municipalities, and media to improve the quality of STEM education in Ukraine.

We created GIOS so that children even in the most remote villages would have access to quality education. It is an ambitious project, so we applied for funding through the Horizon 2020 program — an EU initiative that provides competitive funding to support the development and implementation of innovations.
During the preparation, we received a letter of support from the Institute of Pedagogy. If we win the competition, the Institute will provide practical methodological assistance and distribute information among educators.
This is exactly the case where 1 + 1 = 100! Kontora Pi is a mathematics ed-camp conceived and implemented by Petro Chernyshov. The first teachers’ session took place in April. Twenty-five of the most talented and enthusiastic teachers passed the selection — they prepare children for olympiads, lead clubs, and tirelessly seek better ways to teach. They are all innovators and pioneers; many teach in small towns and villages, which is no easy task. These are the educators who change the system!
We supported the project, and every camp participant received access to gioschool.com through the end of the next school year so they could explore innovative flipped-classroom and blended-learning approaches together with their students.
